BETT Course

BETT trains educators to teach mature learners. This course is designed so as to enable students to be comfortable using the target language in a corporate setting. In addition to thorough knowledge of teaching Business English, candidates will be taught how to improve their students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The candidates will also be taught how to teach their students soft skills so that they might thrive in a professional environment. The program is heavily informative and interspersed with assignments that challenge the candidates and ensure they reap the maximum benefits from the experience. The entire course is specially designed by our senior mentor who has 35+ years of experience in the field of ESL.

Curriculum

The curriculum is divided into 11 modules
BETT trains educators on how to introduce Business English to their students. A major component of the curriculum is teaching the target students to communicate professionally. This includes Business Speaking and Business Writing. Under these modules, the candidate is taught how emphasize the difference between language learning and language acquisition, and teach their students how to write business letters impeccably. Moreover, the program is designed to help the educators plan their lessons efficiently and provide proper evaluation and feedback. Since the educators will be teaching adults, the curriculum trains them how to manage a classroom competently. The classroom management component of the curriculum prepares the educators on how to manage and diffuse situations if such needs arise. It also guides them on how to make the classes interesting and easy to understand. Another major component of the BETT course curriculum is instructing the educators on material management.

Methodology

At London College of Teachers and Trainers, we follow the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach where we encourage our students to communicate and practice in the target language.

How the course works

  • Fill our online application form in order to enroll yourself in the course
  • Our spokesperson will contact you to make you aware of each aspect of the course and give you a unique user name and password
  • Each of the modules has a set of MCQ questions or assignments that you need to complete properly in order to move on to the next level
  • There will be an assignment at the end of the diploma course
  • After you complete the course successfully, we will provide you certificate

Assessment

  • Each of the modules consists of MCQ questions that you need to be completed
  • The answer key to the MCQ test will be sent to you so that you can check and correct it 
  • For an advanced level course, you need to create projects or lesson plans or case studies
  • Our teachers will check your projects or lesson plans or case studies and based on your performance will provide you grade
